In this session educators will watch short video clips from the PUSHOUT documentary. Then view the full length documentary Black Boys. Teachers will then engage in a fishbowl discussion about what they viewed in the films. When educators return from lunch we will examine how teachers can speak up at school against bias and create a safe school climate. We will use the think/pair/share and other teaching strategies during our discussions. Educators will walk away with tools to help them speak up against biased language, prejudice and stereotypes. This will be a safe space where no one will be judged and all will be encouraged to take the next step in their personal journey. Please join us virtually via my Webex https://smsd.webex.com/meet/amberpagan

NOTE: In-person attendance is limited to 25 attendees, but a virtual link will be added to the session description for additional participants to join virtually.
